This Week in Cardinal Pride - 8/23

Hello, everyone!

School starts tomorrow! We are excited to get this year started and are looking forward to some great things from our kids.

We will ease into our normal rehearsal schedule this week. There will be NO early band on the first day of school. Tuesday will be the start of our regular 7am rehearsals. As a reminder, on white days when the marching band class is first block, we begin at 7am on the field. On red days, we rehearse in the band room beginning at 7am, and we dismiss students to class at 7:35am. Students may wear shorts for rehearsal, but they must bring a dress-code-appropriate change of clothes for the rest of the school day. We will begin our Monday evening rehearsals, which will be 6-9pm, NEXT Monday night (the 31st).

ParentSquare will be our primary form of communication throughout the year. I am excited, however, to let you know about our new website: www.webbcityband.com. It is currently pretty bare bones, but we will be working to expand it going forward. The most important things for now will be the calendar page and the news page, where you will be able to find out most anything you need to know about the events of the Webb City Bands. This will be very helpful for family and friends who may not have access to ParentSquare and want to know what is going on with the band program.
